Overview:

 Alaska LNG Project

  • After the Kenai LNG Plant export license expired in 2013, ConocoPhillips received a license in April 2014 to develop the Alaska LNG project.
  • The project includes a gas treatment plant, an 800 mile pipeline which would bring gas to the Nikiski area on the Kenai Peninsula and three train liquefaction plants.
  • BP, ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil exited the project in 2016.
  • After the companies pulled out, the State of Alaska filed another application for the construction of the project in April 2017.
