Overview:

• The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January 2015.
• This was the second time that the company had filed for bankruptcy. The company had originally filed for bankruptcy in 2010, but emerged from bankruptcy in 2012.
• A&P agreed to close 25 of its 296 stores.
