Overview:

• Kraków Fast Tram – Stage IV PPP.
• The project is the latest stage of the wider project in the city. The first fast tram line was opened in 2008.
• Trams have been running in the city since 1882, with the fast trams the latest stage in the development of the city's transport network.
• The fast tram network consists of exclusive tram tracks and a 1.4km tunnel under the central rail station.
• The project is the first time a PPP has been used as the structure for a fast tram line.
• EU funding may be sought for the project, which is expected to cost Zl400 million.
