Deals
In 2011, the firm advised a telecommunications services provider on its acquisition of another company in the same sector. The firm advised on the regulatory framework, and negotiated the share purchase agreement (SPA) and escrow agreements.
John Wilson led another deal advising an international alternative investment group on issues related to share warrants and an investment in a listed public company on the Colombo Stock Exchange. The firm has advised on the Companies Act and the Sri Lankan capital markets regulations.
The firm is also advising on banking related M&A work. In a recent deal, the firm has advised an internet-financial group on its acquisition of 9.99% of the issued voting shares of one of the largest listed commercial banks in Sri Lanka.
