Mr. Gerochi represents Philippine and international banks, multilateral financial institutions and various corporations on a wide range of financing transactions, including securities offering and project finance. He also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, and power and transport infrastructure.

  • Advised ANZ, HSBC, Mizuho Bank and Standard Chartered Bank as the lead arrangers of Bank of the Philippine Islands’ US$400-million loan facility to finance its expanding loan business and investments.  This facility is the first of its kind for BPI in the USD loan market;
  • Acted for Citigroup Global Markets Limited, HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank as lead managers for the tender offer by Royal Capital B.V. (a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc.) of US$345.5 million of its outstanding perpetual bonds, funded by the issuance of US$375.0 million new senior perpetual bonds.  These bonds mark the longest first call tenor achieved by an Asian corporate;
  • Acted for Asia United Bank, BDO Unibank and Land Bank of the Philippines in the Php5.4 billion syndicated loan facility for a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation to finance its Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project, one of the key PPP projects of the Philippine government;
  • Acted for Angat Hydropower Corporation as borrower and Powerone Ventures Energy (a subsidiary of SMC Global Power Holdings) and Korea Water Resources Corporation as sponsors in a Php9.4 billion syndicated secured loan facility to finance the acquisition of the 218mW Angat Hydroelectric Power Plant.
